Integrative Science and Two-Eyed Seeing were selected many years ago as key themes for the emerging Mi'kmawey Debert Cultural Centre ... and the book focuses on the Debert archaeological site which the Centre will interpret and celebrate in conjunction with Mi'kmaq culture, history, language, and knowledge.
 
The book is the proceedings of the 2005 interdisciplinary, 3 day research workshop hosted by the Confederacy of Mainland Mi'kmaq which brought together experts from all over North America.
 
The book's 20 chapters are in 5 major sections (the chapter on Integrative Science is in Section 5):

4. Theories of Place: Modelling People and Their Descendants
